The Hadley sofa

Named after legendary designer Albert Hadley who rose to fame in the 1950s for his modern design style, our Hadley sofa is a nod the clean lines and paired back design that became so iconic during the 50s and 60s.

A sofa of elegant proportions, the Hadley - like all our sofas - is amazingly comfortable. The Hadley is made with loose covers unless you would like it permanently upholstered which we’re happy to do on special request.

A postscript on Arthur Hadley

Albert Hadley carried on working well into his 90s. On his 85th birthday The New York Times interviewed one of his clients, Diana Quasha, about why she’d just chosen him for her project. “He’s still the hippest thing out there,” she said. “I don’t want it to be modern, and I don’t want it to be traditional. I want it to look interesting. Who else would I ask?”
